A great project where we worked closely with the client from the initial plan in mid 2007 to the moving in towards the end of 2009. It is a testament to the clients determination and understanding of architecture and design as a lot of their own ideas have been implemented. There is a strong sense of unity in this house which is achieved by repeating the high standard of finishes - sandstone, timber and marble and the extensive use of grey and white.
The entrance with its bold wall of sandstone leading into the house
The main living room with masses of glamourous curtains which match the carpet and sofa perfectly. You can just see a sandstone plinth to the left which is part of a feature wall that ties in with the dining room
The master bedroom also features a sandstone wall which is offset against the dark grey carpet and the custom linen diamond buttoned bedhead, bedskirt & the glamorous sheer curtains
The ensuite is breathtaking with large areas of limestone and very dark walls and ceilings. The sheer curtains soften the large space and add to the drama
The house nestles into its lush surroundings
The children have been given rooms of royal proportions. Somewhere they can call their own and let their imaginations run away
The bathroom shared by the children works back with the rest of the house.
Preston Hunter Interiors designed most of the joinery and selected finishes throughout. We also supplied furniture, furnishings and window coverings
